Sofa M.O.R.S.I.L.L.Ó.N
Javier Mariscal & Pepe Cortés / Akaba - 1986
Sofa designed by Javier Mariscal and Pepe Cortés that embodies the exuberance and playful spirit of 1980s design.
Its structure combines geometric and organic shapes in a visual play characteristic of postmodernism. The seat, navy blue in color, takes on an asymmetrical shape between oval and rectilinear. The backrest, on the other hand, features a cylindrical and elongated silhouette, brown in tone, reminiscent of a sausage or blood sausage, hence its name. The metal legs, slender and functional, contrast with the volume of the seat and backrest, reinforcing the combination of industrial materials with whimsical shapes, so typical of the decade.
