Pair of Raspall Armchairs
Niall O'Flynn / Raspall - 1997
Pair of “Rascal” model armchairs, designed by Niall O’Flynn for the Dutch firm Spectrum in 1997. Produced for a short period between 1997 and 2001, they represent an uncommon design within late 20th-century European furniture.
The model stands out for its galvanized steel tubular frame and the seat and backrest made of woven metal mesh, an architecturally inspired material that provides transparency, lightness, and a strong industrial presence. Despite its radical appearance, the chair maintains careful ergonomics, with slight curves that enhance comfort.
