C. 1960
Pair of chairs model 209 Thonet style chairs made in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s.
A classic and elegant design, which stands out for the shapes and work of curved wood, which provides an organic appearance. The projecting frame that forms both the backrest and the armrests is made from a single piece of solid beech wood, in black, just like the structure as a whole. Round mesh seat.
One of the favorite pieces of the Swiss architect Le Corbusier, who called it a noble chair and used it in many of his buildings, for example the Weissenhof Estate in Stuttgart in 1927.
