Set of Six Pine Chairs
Joaquim Belsa / Aresta - c. 1970
Throughout his career, the Catalan industrial designer Joaquim Belsa Aldea (1929-2018) had an interest in the design and production of simple and austere furniture designed for a wide audience. In his designs he used traditional and durable materials, such as natural wood, manila cane, cattail or textiles.
This chair model is made up of a pine wood structure with a beveled backrest and a seat in two bodies and perfectly synthesizes its author's ideology of simplicity and modernity.
