Pair of Pipistrello Table Lamps

Gae Aulenti / Martinelli Luce - 1965

The "Pipistrello" table lamp was created by Gae Aulenti in 1965 and produced by Martinelli Luce. Its original design stands out greatly, inspired (as its name suggests) by a bat: the leaves of the screen emulate its wings and the stepped and telescopic foot emulates its body. Pipistrello is not only bold in design, but also in innovative techniques for the time. The conical base grows in height through the ribs of the diffuser. The dropper post and translucent screen merge art and engineering.

Dimensions: Height: 90 cm, width: 55 cm, depth: 55 cm
Condition: Very good condition, slight knock on one of the bases.
