Disa Pendant Lamp
José Antonio Coderch / Disa - 1957
The Disa lamp, also known as the Coderch lamp, is one of the lighting design icons of the second half of the 20th century.
Made from thin sheets of wood that surround the light source, this lamp tries and manages to generate a feeling of great warmth and is a good example of continuous process of purification of traditional forms, techniques and materials with which the architect tried to achieve greater simplicity and functionality of the objects.
Coderch incorporated it into many of his interior design projects and established itself as a reference design for young architects of the time in search of architectural modernization.
