WS Table Lamp
Miguel Milá / Tramo - 1963
Table lamp designed in 1963 by Miguel Milá and produced by the firm Polinax.
The WS lamp is the table version of the WT suspension lamp that Milá designed in 1962 and which received the Delta de Plata award.
It is characterized by its large and unique two-tone lampshade with sinuous curves made of injected methacrylate, purple on the outside and white on the inside, which in turn hides the two handles that turn on the light bulbs.
The foot is made up of a circular base in black painted cast aluminum and a first section of the shaft in the same color and material, to which is attached an adjustable chromed iron rod that allows the height to be adjusted and protrudes from the top.
With this design, Miguel Milá demonstrates once again his ability to imagine new lighting concepts based on simple and logical shapes and great functionality and aesthetic beauty.
