White Semiesferica Table Lamp
Joan Antoni Blanc / Tramo - 1966
This lamp belongs to the “Semiesferica” series that the industrial designer Joan Antoni Blanc designed for the Tramo company in the mid-1960s.
Blanc produced numerous designs both with his own business initiatives and with collaborations with the main Spanish publishers, founding Estudi Blanc in 1971.
The tabletop version is part of the large family of “mushroom” lamps so present in lighting design in the sixties and seventies. The "Hemispherical" achieves a delicate balance between its fine white lacquered metal base and shaft and its large white methacrylate lampshade. A lamp with a great purity of lines from elemental forms and materials.
