Jumo 600 Desk Lamp
Charlotte Perriand / Jumo - C. 1940
The 600 desk lamp produced by the French manufacturer JUMO is one of Charlotte Perriand's best-known lamp designs. Designed in 1935, it was selected by Perriand herself for the 1949 “Le Bazar” exhibition at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.
It is made of chromed tubular steel and consists of a thin arm crowned by a round screen and anchored to a heavy circular base that includes the switch. The arm can be tilted forwards and backwards and the screen can rotate 360 degrees, allowing light to be projected in any direction.
