Carpyen Floor Lamp
Gabriel Teixidó & Carlos Serra / Carpyen - c. 1980
Floor lamp designed by Gabriel Teixidó for Carpyen.
Black lacquered steel, halogen lighting and foot switch dimmer, this lamp is an exercise in balance and creativity. With an inverted Y shape, the main trunk starts from the rectangular conical screen, a mast and a ball as a stop to the ground. All of this is supported by a double structure ending at the ground with a circular bar.
This design proposes a lamp concept in which an impression of lightness contrasts with a sculptural presence.
