Arquímedes Floor Lamp
Gemma Bernal & Ramón Isern / Tramo - 1974
In 1974 the Barcelona designers Gemma Bernal and Ramón Isern designed this innovative lamp system edited by Tramo.
In this free-standing version, a square-conical lampshade in black lacquered aluminum is attached to a cross-shaped base through three beech wood arms that can be directed thanks to an ingenious weight system. A piece of wood anchored to the upper part of the bulb holder next to the switch allows the shade to be oriented in an infinite number of positions. Undoubtedly a piece with great flexibility.
Its sophisticated simplicity and the warmth of its materials make the Archimedes lamp an excellent design.
