LC4 Chaise Longue
Le Corbusier, Perriand & Jeanneret - 1928
The LC4 Chaise Longue is undoubtedly one of the icons of modern design, with a timeless and still very current character. It was one of the first furniture designs that Charlotte Perriand made together with Pierre Jeanneret and Le Corbusier, in 1928.
It is characterized by its structure that combines straight and sinuous lines, which provide comfort and convenience, which rests on another independent structure in black painted steel.
The structure is made of chromed and polished tubular steel, the seat cushion in leather with brown hair and the cushion in black leather.
This original copy is signed and numbered (E338) and is part of an early Cassina signature edition from the mid-1960s.

| Condition: Good overall condition. The frame and chrome are in very good condition, with a nice patina. The leather still shows general wear, especially in the middle and bottom part. The rubber feet show some scratches. |

The same rationality and functionality and the absence of unnecessarily ornate grandiloquence that Le Corbusier applied to his architectural work, as well as a renewed look at the habitat, transferred it to the creation of furniture, designed in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand in the famous studies of the Rue de Sèvres in Paris.
