Cesta Table Lamp in Manila Cane
Miguel Milá / Tramo - 1962
Lamp designed by Miguel Milá in 1962 and produced by Tramo and Polinax. A basket made by hand in varnished manila cane houses an oval polypropylene globe.
Having turned no less than 60 years old, he is like one of those people to whom the years add the charm of "knowing how to be" and everyone invites them to parties. If we open a decoration or architecture magazine, the deceptively discreet Cesta has slipped into the photo, as if it had always been part of that place, whether it is 500 years old or has just been built. It gets along great with all kinds of good architecture and interior design. It is a timeless lamp, with solid roots established in the creative context of the 60s in Barcelona. It is a classic piece because at the time it was modern.
