Pine Folding Chair Model 356
Joaquim Belsa / Aresta - c. 1970
The Catalan industrial designer Joaquim Belsa Aldea (1929-2018) had a keen interest throughout his career in the design and production of simple and austere furniture conceived for a broad audience. In his designs, he used traditional and durable materials such as natural wood, Manila hemp, bulrush, or textiles.
This model of folding chair is made of a completely pine wood structure with a beveled backrest and a three-part seat, perfectly synthesizing the author's ideals of simplicity and modernity.
