Set of Formica Table and Chairs

C. 1960

Set consisting of a table and four chairs made of black painted iron tube and grey Formica.

It is part of the set of furniture used in the interior design of the former Gustavo Gili Editorial Headquarters, the work of the architects Joaquim Gili and Francesc Bassó and a representative building of Catalan rationalism from the 1950s and 1960s. Specifically, it is the original furniture belonging to the building's canteen.

A set with a friendly and light appearance, which stands out for the conical shape of the legs, its finishes and the combination of its materials, so widespread at the time.
