Estel Conic Table Lamp
Joan Antoni Blanc / Metalarte - 1980
This lamp belongs to the “Estel” series designed by Estudi Blanc for the Metalarte company in the early eighties. Estudi Blanc, founded in 1971 by Joan Antoni Blanc and Pau Joan Vidal, produced numerous designs for the main Spanish furniture and lighting publishers.
Large in size, this tabletop model consists of a conical lampshade in translucent white methacrylate and a circular base and shaft in black lacquered steel. The ingenious spring clamp design, characteristic of the “Estel” series, allows different heights to be adjusted to achieve a warmer and more concentrated light.
One of the most emblematic pieces of lighting design for the home of the eighties.
