Pine and Rush Red Popular Style Chair

C. 1960

A classic of popular furniture from the sixties and seventies. Handcrafted, the structure of these chairs is made of natural solid pine wood painted in red and the seat and backrest are made of braided reed.

The design resembles Charlotte Perriand's reinterpretation of the traditional French chair in the models "Bauche n. 19" and "Dordogne".

The formal and material austerity provides a warm counterpoint to modern interiors.

Dimensions: Total Height: 80 cm, Seat Height: 45 cm Width: 45 cm, Depth: 41 cm
Condition: Good vintage condition, with signs of use and patina due to its age and a slight fracture in one of the legs, which does not affect the structure. A bulrush seat has been replaced.
