Metalarte is a family company with almost a century of history that was born as a metalwork workshop, founded by Antonio Riera Clariana in 1932 under the name Metall Arts.

At the beginning of the 1940s, he began the design and manufacture of his own lamp models, but it was not until the end of the 1950s when he began to define the modern and innovative character for which the firm is known, under the influence of the flourishing Scandinavian design of the moment.

Starting in the 1960s, he began working with external designers who would become big names in Spanish industrial design.
